Israel is also under threat from terrorist organizations that include al-Qaida, Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and so many others. The same enemies that threat Israel are the same enemies that threat the United States, Britain, France and other Western nations. Israel also happens to be a safe haven for Christians fleeing persecution from Muslim nations in the Middle East. Where as most Muslim nations have seen their Christian populations plummet, Israel's has increased by nearly 200,000 since the 1970's.
