Dr. Helen Roseveare was a medical missionary in the rain forests of the Belgian Congo - now DCR Congo. In 1964, she was caught up in the horror of the Simba Rebellion, beaten, raped and imprisoned by rebels. On 25th anniversary of that rebellion, Helen returned to Zaire as it was, with a film crew. This award winning documentary is the result - a story of love and faith overcoming hatred, brutality and racial prejudice.
